ThreadBasket SAL - Part 1

So, I joined the second round of the ThreadBasket SAL. I've joined my first two SAL's ever in the last two weeks. I'm not sure what has come over me. Here is a photo of part one, which I have completed just under the Sunday deadline. Oh, the pressure! :)

A La Belle Etoile
By: The ThreadBasket/C Mon Monde
30 Count Weeks Dye Works Straw Linen
Called for DMC threads
That's about all I have right now. It was a busy week at work, so I didn't really get a chance to stitch on anything else. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Thanks again for the nice comments. I appreciate every one!

Stitching!

So, here are a couple pieces that I have finished stitching, but haven't finished into anything yet. Finishing. Ugh. I'm not very good at it. But that's a topic for another time.

Then, I also have this one:

And one final one:

Kringles Krew
Holiday Sparrow
Stitched on: 32 Count Teal Belfast Linen

That's a whole lotta french flipin' knots!

The two pieces I have being framed right now are the Mystery Sampler by With Thy Needle & Thread and The Gameboard Sampler by Drawn Thread. I should have them back in a couple weeks. I can't wait! Tonight I am starting the SAL put on by The ThreadBasket. Can't wait to get started ~ it has a snowman in it. :)

Sorry that the pictures aren't the greatest. I may need to invest in a new camera. Does anyone have any suggestions for something that is easy to use, but takes good photos? Let me know!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

The Changing of the Seasons

First off I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has stopped by and left me comments! What a nice bunch of people you all are! So very welcoming. I planned to post some pictures tonight of what I have been stitching, however, my camera battery is dead. It is recharging now, so hopefully I'll post some tomorrow night.

I spent yesterday and tonight switching my clothes from summer/fall to winter. The weather here in Minnesota has been so strange. We have been having beautiful days, still getting up in to the 50's, which for Minnesota in November is kind of crazy. I think we are winding down to the end of those days though and it is going to get cooler now. I have a feeling that we will pay for these nice days come December and January. Sigh.

Well, I better get back to it. Somehow this switching of the clothes always seems to make more of a mess before it gets all back in order again!

Thanks again for stopping by. I really appreciate all your comments so much.

Well, there's no time like the present....

Murphy &  I ~ Christmas 2010

So, I guess I'm going to give this blog thing a try. We'll see how it goes.

Here are some random things about me, in no particular order:

My name is Kris.
I live in Minnesota.
Murphy is my dog.
He is two. I'm quite a bit older than that.
Two of my favorite things to do are Cross Stitch and Read.
And play with Murphy, of course!
I am a Credit Manager for a manufacturing company.
I've worked for the same company for 19 years.
I have an unhealthy addiction to all things snowman related.
I don't like coffee. Can't stand the smell of it.
I am a volunteer for The Liz Logelin Foundation.
I have one older sister.
I am an aunt to my niece & nephew, whom I love dearly.
I love all kinds of music.
I love to laugh & I'm happiest when I can make other people laugh.
I love to watch it snow.
I hate to shovel snow.
Fall is my favorite time of year.
I have a small (okay, not so small) addiction to my iPhone.
I've always thought the work week should be Saturday-Sunday and the weekend should be Monday-Friday. Clearly, that is not the case.

So, that's about it for now. I have a couple of cross stitch pieces being framed that I will try to get pictures of once I have them back and post them.

If you find your way to my new blog, stop in and say hi. I think I have the comments turned on. I'm not really sure. :)
